Re: Lucky B*****d
It would be nice if Mr Ho could be persuaded to invest some time producing decent 1/48 Harrier GR1/3/AV8A

Re: Lucky B*****d
I seriously hope that one of their "black" projects is the Buccaneer we have heard rumour of. As they have already done the Lightning and have a Harrier GR7 and Jaguar on the way, there is clearly an interest in British aircraft. I think it a shame however that the Philippines IPMS seem to have such influence over future projects - it would be nice if Trumpeter cast their net a touch further afield as European interests are clearly going to be different to those from SE Asia.
Please, please, please don't keep us waiting too long for the Jag, and please get it right.

Re: Lucky B*****d
Indeed, the IPMS Phil people are perhaps the main reason why the F-14 got shoved-out ahead of other stuff. Still, I doubt if any manufacturer would pay too much attention to what modellers say - you only have to read forums like Britmodeler to see that most people haven't a clue about commercial considerations. Luckily, the manufacturers are more concerned with main market sales, so the personal wishes of random modellers don't count for much. Just as well, can you imagine?!
Shame that the Jaguar really does seem to be a long way off but at least it is coming. As for Black Projects, I think that's a typical urban myth that modellers like to spread around. If something is secret then some visitor sure ain't gonna be told about it! More to the point, why should anything be secret? I see these stories time and time again, it's crazy. I hope the Buccaneer is still on their list of things to do. Wouldn't it be great if they did a 32nd Canberra too?!

Re: Lucky B*****d
Yes Tim, a 32nd Canberra (esp. a PR9) would be nice, but it has to be below my beloved Buccaneer on the list. I'd also like to see a 32nd Hawk (we'll wait forever for Flightpath's long-since promised kit), a 32nd SHAR FA2 and also some trainers (JP3, JP5, Chipmunk, Bulldog, Gnat) - I'd give my right gonad for a decent Chipmunk in as large a scale as possible but I don't see it happening unless as a vacform/resin kit. I'd also love a decent non-vacform Scimitar in 1:48, along with other post-WW2 FAA Foldy-wingy-thingies
Re: Lucky B*****d
Well it seems that one of Trumpeter's representatives claims that they are planning a 32nd scale F-4 series for the future which might include an F-4K/M. Dunno how many years away it is though! I guess the Gannet's a non-starter though! I'm still waiting for the Classic Airframes 48th scale AEW3 which has been planned for years now but doesn't seem to be any closer. Still, I've got the new 72nd scale resin AEW3 which is a little beauty - if a little on the small side!
I'd love a 32nd Mirage 2000, and a Viggen, Buccaneer, Canberra, Hawk, Jet Provost, Tucano, Sea Vixen, Gannet, F-106, F-101C, F-111...
Actually, if I'm just dreaming, I'd like a 32nd scale Varsity, Hastings, Sea Prince, Shackleton, Vulcan, Victor... well I can dream!
