Sounds like they're going for it now. Weather not too bad down here. Windy and some cloud but a lot better than it was earlier.

Was it just me or did any body else find Martins Sunday display a poor relation to Saturdays display by Kev !
He seemed to loose his way twice ! once with the bomb door open pass , which he did over Brize way ! (.LOL )and again on the spiral climb .

Can't speak for RIAT, but there does seem a marked difference to the displays from the two pilots. No disrespect to Martin Withers but I prefer Kev Rumens more dynamic way of displaying the Vulcan.

Despite being essentially the same display, Kev's more aggressive style of wingovers and noise are a hark back to the old days and better shows off what the Vulcan can actually do.

There is a big difference in the 2 display styles - it's also been mentioned before on other fora.

Kev Rumens Saturday display at Waddington was outstanding, and the nature of the takeoffs from DSA when he is in charge are great as well.

Kev was also a co-pilot in the VDF days to DT and PM, he's use to seeing 558 do something a bit more dynamic.

Hi everyone

I must say and without taking anything away from Martin Withers displays, that Kev Rumins displays generate more anticipation and excitement when he flies XH558... if i had to choose from the two dispalys it would be Kevs display i would like to see.

Saturdays display at Waddington was just amazing , awesome flying and brought back memorries of the old display days when she was put through her paces, Kev shows what XH558 can do and the crowds love it, the first wingover was great but the second was superb and very entertaining for the crowd.

By the way guys, does anyone know when she is due back at DSA? and what time is she due to touch down?

Best rgds
