Nope - other than that they're scheduled for release but it's anybody's guess when!

New Revell arrived today, 1/144 FA-18E, TU-95 Bear D, 1/72 An-2(Trumpy/Bilek Tooling) being the highlights. Avoid the AN-2 though as you can get the same kit in a Trumpy Box for £7!!!

Hope you like the price as well! All good and well these kits are being re-released but the respective economies are not helping getting them on the shelf at a decent price.

The Hasegawa F3 ain't worth spending much cash on - it's pretty nasty, but then all the 72nd scale F3 kits are nasty!

There's no easy solution to get a decent F3 in 72nd scale. The only way you could do it perfectly would be to get a Revell GR1 kit and graft an F3 nose onto it, and modify the wing gloves, fuselage length, missile recesses, etc. Hard work, but the only way of getting an accurate replica, sadly. To be fair, the Hasegawa F3 is the best of a bad bunch!

Regarding the Valiants, we've not sold out yet either, in terms of numbers ordered. But be warned the first batch will be allocated so dont be suprised if anyone who has pre-ordered one doesnt get one initially.

shaunb wrote:I know this kit has been out for a bit now and it is probably a re boxing of the older kit but I have to say what a nice looking kit this is.

The tub is pee poor but Im sure there is a resin one for it. But the thing I was amazed at was it comes with no less than 10 decal options.

It really is a reasonable kit but Im glad I didnt pay the £28 for it as I got it from fleabay for £16 (much better).

All it needs is a nice set of syhart decals and jobs a good'n
Ahem - what kit, which aircraft ... ... ... didn't you forget something?

On a seperate note, the Corgi Valiant has now arrived! It looks good but its quite delicate in the wing pitot's and the main U/C especially. Also, in comparison to the Victor and Vulcan in the same scale, its not very heavy..

Eduard's Fw 190A Ltd Edition dual combo has arrived too, with at least one set of decals for JG54.

Hobbyboss Il-2M2, F-84E in 1/32, F-9F-3 and Mi-2T in 1/72 have also put in an appearance along with a re-stock of Sea Hawks at last!

The Italeri Mirage F1 is nice - it is the old Esci kit and it does indeed have an awful cockpit interior. The wheels are rubbish too - but it does have great surface detail. Some might say it's a bit overdone but with a bit of painting it gives a great effect. Hopefully some resin parts will be produced to rectify the faults this time.

I noticed that earlier today - I can't help thinking that it's rather foolhardy releasing after-market add-ons for a kit that hasn't even be acknowledged by Trumpeter, and knowing their track record even if it does show may not be available for several years based upon the example of the 1:32 A-4 kits and others.
