This could turn into a very promising kit! :thumb:

Clearly 1:72 kits take far more skill to build... :D

I'd like to see you satisfactorily expand that argument. :P

Try building a 32nd scale model and make it look real....

Sorry 72nd scale maybe "Gods" Scale but it certainly isnt for me! ;)

Nor me - CMR put amazing levels of detail into their kits, but IMO it's a waste at that scale, they'd be amazing at 1:48 or 1:32. I haven't built a 1:72 scale model since 1981, and my 17yo son moved up to 1:48/1:32 a couple of years ago.

With the Sabre, Spitfire(is this the old kit or a retool like the Ia?) and Seahawk you mention, Italeris Merlin HC3 out as well and things like the Harrier GR9 and Valiant just round the corner, add to this the Scottish Nats just over a month away, I NEED MORE MONEY!!!!! Add to this as well that the new 1/48 Spits and Seafires are seriously tempting as well!!!

However, at nearly £20 the Merlin might just have to wait to land in my house!
Arabest,
Geoff.

Geoff, the Spitfire is NOT a new tooling!

And we have just had the Italeri Merlin, plus the Tornado F.3 and Mirage F.1 (both 1/48) have slipped in too. A bit worrying really as this is about 30% of this years new aircraft releases from them already!

Of note, the Valiant is due soon but the Harrier will be may at least.

Does anyone know if the Aviation workshop/Model Alliance are reprinting the Canberra sqn markings sheet in 1/48th scale, I cannot get hold of them via email to confirm this. Are there any other sheets with RAF markings on available?

Cheers

The Dragon Meteor is beautiful although a tad expensive. The only down-side is that it's an early version rather than a T7 or F8. But the kit is superb with accurate outline, great surface detail and good fit. Recommended if you're happy with the early variant and you have a deep pocket!

Also encouraging is that there's a Sea Vixen and Buccaneer on the way - presumably to the same standard - hoorah!
