1:48 Tucano T.1

I've just ordered one of these for my son's birthday.

Looks like a beautiful kit, not cheap but I don't see a 1:48 Tucano being produced anywhere else soon. This is the same company who produced the Nimrod weapons bay and canopy enhancements which we bought last year - superb quality.

HS,
There seems to be a noticeable lack of activity over this whole section since the 2 notable forces behind it have departed! Used to be a good place as well!!!

On the Tucano, someone i know might find it strange, but i quite fancy one of these but as its the wrong scale, i might shy away! Will be looking in on A2Zee at the Scottish nats, mainly for other stuff and will find it hard to look the other way!!!
Arabest,
Geoff.

Agreed - it's the wrong scale for me too, but I'd rather see it in 1:32. I spoke to Ally from A2Zee yesterday and reserved my copy for collection at Perth next Saturday.

As you say, this section of FC does seem somewhat moribund these days, it's not the same without Shaun at the helm, or now that Mark has sadly moved on after his short period of enthusiasm. There's certainly an apparent diminished interest in serious modelling these days which I think is a shame.

Sorry HS, I did look at this yesterday evening and followed your link. I then got waylaid looking around the website for a good half hour and then forgot to post a comment  . If I didn't have lots of kits to go at already it would be very tempting and I may end up getting it anyway to complete my 1/48 RAF trainers collection. Sorry for that, hope he likes it

That looks a very nice kit indeed HS, I especially like the display c/scheme,it's a bit too pricey for me really.Regards Paul.

Such multimedia kits are expensive, but the box contains literally everything you might need except glue and paint - no need to buy etched brass, white metal u/c etc. - for a 1:48 kit it's not so expensive in real terms.

Should have it by this time next week, I'll do a box revue. I'll also take pix at the Scottish Nationals and do a write-up.

Which Club/Group so I can be sure to see them?

I'll be taking photos and do a write-up as I did last year, I'll make sure to take pix of yours as long as I know where to find them.

I'll try and get a box review done in the next couple of days.

Here are two pix I took at Perth last weekend of a painted but incomplete kit and an unpainted kit, both on the A2Zee stand. It's a beautiful kit, but those familiar with A2Zee/Alley Cat's tremendous work will already appreciate that.
