I have left the thread alone but once again, please remember it’s a mess thread and therefore the below applies, no politics.
“A forum for discussing all things related to MILITARY AVIATION including Military Aviation news. No off-topic discussions here please.”

I wonder if they avoided Mildenhall because they figured there was less chance of Op Sec being compromised with the tankers in Germany. Less spotters in Germany. Or alternatively the 100ARW said it was quiet hours and they couldn’t assistPlane enthuiast wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 3:07 amWhile everyone was watching Mytee they sneaked eastbound
10? Tankers departed Ramstein all not tracking around midday and returned after 9 hours airborne

Also the 12 at Lajes in a perfect location for thirsty bombers
Re: Israel strikes Iran nuclear facilities.
There are no addition US Assets here. Nothing at Fairford, Mildenhall or Lakenheath. with 2 LN based Squadrons worth, already in sandier locations and the F-22s already relocated, as per the threads in Heads Up.C24 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 1:12 pmhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties
A read through the above by those born post 1968 might broaden their view of world conflicts. Many people in recent times have been killed in many countries
To see the devastation first hand influences one’s view of today’s world actions.
Will the military assets remain over here or return to the US?

I have tidied the thread as best as I can for nearly 10pm on a Sunday night!
Please remember - posts in this thread on the Fighter Control Mess should be related to this topic but in relation to "discussing all things related to MILITARY AVIATION including Military Aviation news - for example posts relating to the mission, aircraft, units and munitions involved etc.
Posts about your political thoughts, whether you agree or not, how the UK should respond and anything else (within reason) can be made in the General Chat section.

Re: Israel and Iran plus USA bombs Iranian nuclear facilities
BBC is reporting that Israel has destroyed Iranian F15s (!) and F5s on the ground overnight
Re: Israel and Iran plus USA bombs Iranian nuclear facilities
Typical BBC level of accuracy.
Re: Israel and Iran plus USA bombs Iranian nuclear facilities
The length and planning for the mission seemed to be excellent, do you think it was more difficult to plan than the Vulcan raid on Port Stanley.? Technology is far better these days.
