I think they sell more tickets on the day than what have actually been sold online, I have never heard of anyone being refused entry.

Last year I went on the Thursday for arrivals and had absolutely no problem getting a ticket on the day. Queued for 10 mins with no drama

regarding queue jumping i stopped going to RIAT . YEARS AGO , GOT THERE EARLY IN LINE 10 PEOPLE IN IT BY ENTER TIME 80+ IN FRONT OF ME. THE STEWARDS AND POLICE DID NOTHING TO STOP IT. WONT GO AGAIN. THIS IS VERY BAD FOR THE ELDERLY WHO HOPED TO GET TO THE FRONT. ROB !

Is this the same for Monday departures? Can you que and buy i ticket? I know it used to be the case but i haven't done departure day for about 10/15years.

Yes you can still buy tickets on the day. Never seen anyone turned away in all thr years I've been going.
