The Polish F-16 and FAF Rafale were initially going to be operating from Waddington but the airfield have turned them down.EMA Planespotting wrote: ↑Fri May 30, 2025 9:55 amMorning, any ideas where some of the international participants will be basing themselves for the show?

Vampire looks to be out. Cancelled Midlands this weekend and Abingdon on the 14th, the week after Cosford due to tech issues. So I don't think it will make Cosford.

That thing hasn’t made any of the last 2 shows at Cosford when listed either!jasonT1981 wrote: ↑Sat May 31, 2025 1:27 pmVampire looks to be out. Cancelled Midlands this weekend and Abingdon on the 14th, the week after Cosford due to tech issues. So I don't think it will make Cosford.

Sadly not
I love seeing a Vampire, but it's very rare for me these days.

Scottish Aviation Bulldog, Chipmunks, Jet Provosts, Hawks and a Grob Tutor added to static
No A400 this year though
Cosford have not had notification that the Vampire has cancelled.

HAAF have cancelled their Auster 9 on Twitter
Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2025
I wonder if there's any possibility that the decision to turn them down is to do with not attracting hordes of people to the fence. I sort of recall that there were tales of people in farmers fields at Shawbury and we all know from CW how bonkers things get at Waddington. Perhaps Brize is more suitable as it doesn't seem to offer the views and thus never seems to attract the same levels of visitors.jagmadandy wrote: ↑Fri May 30, 2025 5:34 pmThe Polish F-16 and FAF Rafale were initially going to be operating from Waddington but the airfield have turned them down.EMA Planespotting wrote: ↑Fri May 30, 2025 9:55 amMorning, any ideas where some of the international participants will be basing themselves for the show?
But it could of course be anything else, such as Brize actually being open at weekends?

If I recall correctly, I think it was quite calm at Waddington last year when the Couteau Delta were based there for Cosford, yes of course a few people but nothing that caused any problems unlike CWHarkins wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 8:20 pmI wonder if there's any possibility that the decision to turn them down is to do with not attracting hordes of people to the fence. As you say, with how crazy it got at CW, I'm not surprised they said no, they would certainly bring the crowds.
If that is the reason why, it was only a matter of time before people ruined it for everyone.
Having the Polish F16s and French Rafales based here for CW earlier on in the year, it seems the ideal place for them to be based this weekend
Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2025
Seen on the UKAR Cosford board that the Swiss PC7 and Rafale are all operating out of Hawarden this weekend
French CN235 also listed as arriving from St Dizier at 1140L to Hawarden tomorrow
edit: Removed Red Arrows as they are based out of Liverpool as per their published NOTAMs

Is there any indication anywhere on any practice or validation taking place on Saturday, I saw earlier a Notam has been issued for Fri and Sat but I have a feeling it'll be a turn up and take my chance
