USAF C17 in LFA 17 6/5/25

Nice to catch one of the two USAF C17s doing low level in LFA17 today. A few different angles.

Two more added 14/5, as I like the angles as well.

Nice catch Richard. Can imagine it's an impressive sight when you are actually out there. They are on my 'to do list', catch a 'heavy' at low level and to get up to LFA17.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you all for the kind comments. Always interesting to get another person's perspective on which angle looks the best!

Well caught Richard. What was your actual "20", (location); somewhere in the North Lakes, guessing the wind-farm is Robin Riggs in the Solway.

Great set Richard
I was really surprised to see the two C-17A's 'pinging' on deck at Mildenhall as 'ELVIS 21/22' on Bank Holiday Monday. I'm just amazed that they hadn't taken the Bank Holiday into account when they were talking to Swanwick to get their clearances approved... still all was soon sorted and a nice transit up over my place at Fl100 en route to The Lakes. When I saw their approach to Windermere and the orbits they completed I was just hoping that someone would be around to capture them. Obviously out again the following day. I'm sure it was a fantastic experience for the Tenn. ANG crews that were processed in this exercise. Beats an 7 hour flight @ Fl340 across the pond
Thanks very much for posting

There's a number of YouTube videos of the flight as well.

Cracking set.

I have a YouTube video as well, I’ve put it up in the video section. Not sure I’m allowed to post a link in this part. My channel name is The Cumbrian Moo Tuber.
