Max V and his wife Kelly Piquet ( daughter of Nelson Piquet, 3 x F1 World Champion, and probably still not on Nigel Mansell's Christmas card list) are expecting their first baby ahead of the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday

Will he be in Miami for the practice?

Yes. I think so, but he will probably miss all the razzamatz [and why not?] that goes with American events.

If the baby is due this weekend he probably doesn't need to practise.

In some sad news, Miami GP has now been extended to 2041. Awful.

Already born, a daughter. After birth took his private jet to Miami.

A newborn that can fly a plane, must have a dad who’s a half decent driver.

He didn't say it was the newborn, he said it was the after birth!

Quite a Sprint.
Expect to see all cars edging off the grid boxes tomorrow as apparently this week it's ok???
Unfortunately as tomorrow's weather is supposed to be worse than today, it could mean a long night, if it takes place at all. Then again, it wasn't supposed to rain today...

Albon and James Vowles got a flight(in a practice display) with the Blue Angels, interesting piece!
Currently dry at the circuit, but there is a risk of thunderstorms later. And as the grandstands will need to be cleared if there is lightning in the area, then the race will be red flagged-don't recall that being an issue in Malaysia or Brazil previously...

What a race! For the first 2/3rds anyway. Unfortunately the rain never came, which the latter part of the race could have really done with.

Driving standards and race officiating again less than ideal though.

Hope so. Purely on the basis that I have gone off Norris

I picked him out a couple of years ago as serious competition for Norris

Williams are having a good spell

Notice how Ben whatsisface (the 'top' FIA chap, clings after the race like a wet dog log to a trainer. always trying to make himself prominent in the background. No class at all, that guy.

Twas most amusing. Like being at a wedding alone. Even better when McLaren put out the selfie Zack Brown took, with mBs either cleverly hidden or edited out!

Sad to hear Jochen Mass has passed away RIP.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
