Does anyone know if there has been any action in the gorge during the exercise. Usually quieter but didn’t know if completely dead or not.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have the callsigns for yesterday's Spotters Day flights?

Unless I missed something elsewhere on the thread he asked about the whole exercise.

"Does anyone know if there has been any action in the gorge during the exercise. Usually quieter but didn’t know if completely dead or not."

Thanks for the info.

Another question from me - sorry. Did anyone manage to get a serial for the blanked-out Makos F-16?

Not sure what you mean by ‘blanked out’ ? However at least a couple of aircraft in the ‘Have Glass’ finish are extremely difficult to read dependant on sun angle. All the aircraft yesterday were readable.

The hard to read one from the AM wave was 87-0287/ FM :)

Does anyone know about spotting outside Andravida AB today? Any locations where it is alright to be?

None, is the short answer.

Spotting outside any base in Greece is not accepted by the authorities and you run the risk of landing yourself in serious trouble.

There are questions you better not ask to avoid answers you don't want to read...
'Probably' not understandable for everyone :halo:

But he did want to read answers to his question - so did others, despite them being good or bad, which is why he asked.

Thunder is correct - it is not allowed

To give advice on a public website is not very prudent - people must find their own spots at their own risk - certainly don't overstay your welcome or you will almost certainly get a visit

In addition to the above comments, anyone upsetting the Greek authorities could have a long-lasting impact on any spotting opportunities. A "red card" could stop these special events for enthusiasts. We don't want a repeat of the 2001 incident.

That is a very good point- don't abuse their hospitality

I was just thinking back to Monday afternoon at the Spotters day- after a slowish start into the sun the afternoon in my opinion was pretty epic ? 15 HAF F-16 flypast plus 12 Greek fighters launched from Andravida itself - it is the HAF that i go to see to be honest- the exotics are just a bonus

I made 40 active military at Andravida including 18 Greek Fast Jets, well pleased with that
