There seems to be a directive from Greek HQ to avoid the Vouraikos low flying area next week. Source should be 338 Sqn at Andravida, reason is thought to be safety related (area became to popular/crowded).

Hi everyone,
Tomorrow will be the turn of the Italian Tornados, and they will be six in total. IAM0601 EOBT 08:45 LT (two-ship), IAM0603 EOBT 09:00 LT (two-ship) and IAM0605 EOBT 13:00 LT (two-ship). All times are local and refer to Ghedi Air Base. They will take about two hours flight to Andravida Air Base.

I suspect not, and even then I don’t think anyone was out as it was Greek Independence Day with very little operational flying…and every man and his dog was in Athens for the flypast.

Hi everyone,
I confirm that today six Tornados took off as scheduled from Ghedi Air Base to Andravida Air Base, including four IDS (MM7004, MM7013, MM7014 and MM7086) and two ECR (MM7047 and MM7052). One or two of them have already flown into the valley this afternoon.

We are planning a trip to Greece from 6 april till 14 april. We fly at thessaloniki and drive to Athens. At 11 april (last day of execution fase) we will be al Diakopto. Will their be some action on the last day of excercise?
