Embraers Galore at Cambridge

Post by Professor_M » Wed Mar 05, 2025 10:33 pm

There have been back-to-back Xingu visits to Cambridge in the last 48 hours. Yesterday, 74 arrived in French Navy marks. Today was the turn of the Air Force 099/YP.

Staying within the Embraer fold, RAF Phenom T1 ZM335 was in the circuit shortly after 099 departed this afternoon...

Thanks for looking.

Nice catches.

I met three French Air Force officers at Duxford on Tuesday who said they'd flown onto Cambridge and going back the same day. Shame I didn't detour on the way home as I need 74.

Intriguing - I wonder why they didn't just fly into Duxford instead? (Xingu 107/YV visited Duxford in June 2023 for a look around the museum on a training trip that had seen them go up into Scotland first, but that's the only Xingu to have landed at Duxford I'm aware of).

Yes I didn't like to pry too much. More of each other trying the other's language regarding the Spitfire taxiing by.

Another Xingu popped into Cambridge today - Air Force marked 064/YY on a Navy callsign...
