Morning all, does anyone know if the Protector is due to fly again any time soon?

There's a NOTAM up for tomorrow and Thursday.

It was up for today but has been pulled presumably due to weather.

If you're on my Waddo Movements Facebook page I try to keep the Danger area activations up to date, the current times are on there.

On the airfield today (24.2) was Protector PR010, and moved to the hangar facing the runway just prior to heavy shower was PR011. Two others were visible in the hangar. Does any one know how many have been delivered so far and their serials and those in the open hangar?

Since no-one's mentioned it on here yet; PR010 made its maiden flight this morning, just before the CW ' rush hour'. Two long circuits with low overshoot and full stop. Nothing spectacular, but interesting to see.

Just to noted that it was mentioned in the CW thread for today:

Of course it was, even though it's not in any way connected to CW. Yet again the split sections meaning information is missed.

Not defending or attacking - simply adding to the info to help. :)

Great video there...you caught it perfect ...I watched it from the overflow carpark...so strange watching something unmanned...but I guess that's the future.

Well done...nice video :thumb:

It was meant to do more, but a tech snag meant it had to land earlier than planned

Two Protectors have just been towed out of the hangar; there are fuel bowsers around one of them. Maybe another flight in the next few hours.... days.... weeks...?

one of the pair was PR010, the other was nose on, then blocked by a fuel truck for quite a while - both 011 & 012 were mentioned, can anyone confirm please ?
