Hi All,

Has come to my attention that despite causing all manner of problems for the mods, nobody knows who I am!

in short, I picked up a camera at the beginning of lockdown and have come an awful long way since!

I'm an aviation photographer based in the scenic city of Exeter in Devon (hence the emblem - Polish squadron at RAF Exeter during WWII flying - amongst other things - Mozzies :Wow: )where we see a fast jet about once a year and a helicopter once a minute

I use a Canon 7D MkII and a Sigma 150-500 (bit of a rare breed)

Scanner is a Uniden Bearcat 125XLT

This place is a brilliant trove of info with the best of so called 'fence humour' :pop:

Pleasure to be here, and thanks for coping with me

Hi to All , A not so 'New ' Newbie but have not used the forum for some time and long lost the log in details so re joined .
Located across the river from Chivenor where very little happens so much of the time have to watch trails . Originally from Northolt so find things here a bit 'quiet' !
One of a dwindling number of 'Silver Spotters' who can recall when most aircraft had those whirly things at the front and made wonderful noises ( The noise of a C124 or C133 coming over Northolt out of Mildenhall will live for ever ) . Scanner is forgotten in a draw , camera replaced recently by Nikon with it's built in 2K mm tele lens very useful for trails ! Good luck to all and let us hope the weather is better for us this year . chrisj

Hi all!

I'm James, an Essex-based spotter/togger and ramp rat. I've been spotting since the mid-2000s and since the late 2010s have started getting out into Europe and further afield. I'm a semi-regular at Lakenheath/Mildenhall/Cambridge so hope to provide logs when possible from the bases.

Always good to see the familiar faces around the fencelines and farther afield.

See you at an airbase soon!

Hi all!
Im a photographer from Lincs with a long standing interest in aviation, specifically military!
Whilst spotting isn't my usual photography pastime, I always try tag along when something interesting is on and keeping tabs on whats happening. :) :)

My usual photography nowadays consists mostly of automotive and mostly using film as an imaging medium (I'm sorry to those I will eventually bore  ), which seems to be my goal for 2025... Even maybe some stints spotting on film and recreating some classic Waddo ACMI shots?

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am Josh, an aviation photographer who mainly at LN and sometimes at Mildenhall. I live North of Ipswich.

My first aviation spotting trip was with my dad 7 years ago when we travelled to the Willows Campsite Mildenhall. Ever since i have been addicted and visit LN every holiday! I did my first RIAT this year in the FRIAT style! Next year im going for 6 days. My favorite aircraft is the F35 because i love its noise and quick climbs.
Looking forward to reading your posts and keeping up-to-date
