42 days apparently to allow a few (33?) hostages out and a number of Palestinian prisoners to be released.
As I type the Israeli government still haven't agreed as a substantial number of MPs want to allow Israeli settlers into Gaza - so doing what they continue to do on the illegally occupied West Bank.
The Israeli PM won't want a "deal" because he is liable to end up in front of his own courts for corruption and the world court for war crimes.
I also suspect the remains of the terrorist cells, and the other "bad actors" aren't too bothered; after all this is a dispute that's been going on for 3000 years.
I just feel sorry for the 40,000 Palestinian dead, the 6 premature babies who died the other day of hyperthermia, the hostages and their families, and the conscript foot soldiers who have lost lives, limbs and minds.

It's estimated that Hamas have already backfilled their numbers lost with new recruits. Like that was never going to happen!

Netanyahu is on borrowed time. His downfall can't come soon enough.

Recruits going to murder or take hostage festival goers in a few years then. Israel over reacted but let’s not forget who started the latest round of stupidity.

You mean Bank? You’ll note I framed my response to the current situation and the title of the thread and the filling of the ranks. Perhaps we should go back to the dispersion of the 12 tribes or even the Roman occupation?
The catalyst for the latest episode was the cowardly attacks by Hamas. It’s well known how Israel would respond and the innocents on both side suffer as a result.

Good day Mods.

Any chance of this political thread being locked before I overcome my urge to make a post that would offend both sides of the fighting ?
