340 in 1sqn markings now. Also a bumblebee on the front. Anyone know the resemblance?

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
I presume you are asking 'why the bee?' Well it is in reference to Arthur Clowes DFC, DFM who adorned his 1(F) Squadron Hurricane with the same bumblebee emblem during the Battle of Britain as far as I know. BBMF Hurricane LF363 was painted to represent his aircraft not too long ago.

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Here's an interesting one for you, when you hear and see a Typhoon from Lossiemouth and it is using the LOSSIE Callsign how can you tell which Squadron it is with? For example I heard LOSSIE 12 recently and I started to note it down in my logbook unfortunately I could only write RAF Lossiemouth in the Parent Unit/ Squadron section but don't know which Squadron it was with....
Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Usually by which line it comes off of, alot easier when everyone's home. Failing that, whichever Ops frequency they're speaking too usually ties to their Sqn.
In the Tornado days it was alot easier to tie the Lossie callsigns to the Sqns as they had allocated blocks for the units. There probably is a system similar with Typhoon.

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
A bit trickier that that for me is (like Yesterday) when I haven't got the Squadron Ops frequency and watching them on approach to Edinburgh..

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.
Niall,
On Thursday one Typhoon did a performance dept around 13:30, no tanks direct to Coningsby as Lossie 52. ADSBExchange suggests it was ZK347.
