Re: Possible Deployment
Globe Sentinel now reporting USAF B-52s deploying to Fairford, originally stated late October but November is way, way likelier.
Gutted, I was hoping for some B-1s seeing as my last 3 visits have yielded absolutely nothing.

Re: Possible Deployment
Kalitta Air flight CKS9741 currently en route to Minot AB.
It'll be interesting to see where she goes from there.

Edit: Globe Sentinel on X reporting this flight is heading to Fairford after Minot.

Re: Possible Deployment
Could be CMB551.....showing on Sofia Arrival board from Minot ETA 1000 local time. (FR24). It was planned out of Minot at 2230 UK local time....but the inbound did land about one and a half hours later than scheduled. (Just for info).

ETA 08:24 GMT.
ETA 08:24 GMT.
Re: Possible Deployment
Globe Sentinel reporting this on X too
Re: Possible Deployment
Anybody know how a deployment can take place when Fairford has a current Notam running until early Jan 2025 about critical and reduced firefighting and rescue capabilities for all the aircraft which could be involved?
Re: Possible Deployment
DC7C59. Advisories such as the one you quoted are not abnormal.......e.g. have a look at KDYS notams for similar.
Re: Possible Deployment
Was exactly the same during the previous BTFs.
Re: Possible Deployment
Kalitta flight schedule shows CKS450 ETA 1050 UK local time. Showing on FR24 and ADSB passed St John's Newfoundland about 0645-ish.
Re: Possible Deployment
Reach section (thanks). Shows C17 RCH138 09-9212 en route Fairford.
Re: Possible Deployment
I'm hoping there is a chance we might get tail number 029 with the special test and evaluation scheme from Barksdale.

from USAFE-AFAFRICA Public Affairs:
U.S. aircraft slated to deploy to Europe for latest bomber task force
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – The next Bomber Task Force-Europe deployment is scheduled to begin in the coming days with U.S. strategic bombers transiting from the continental U.S. to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility.
The long-planned deployment is slated to kick-off with the U.S. Air Force bombers flying on a pre-filed flight plan through international airspace and with the appropriate diplomatic clearances in place for times when aircraft are transiting through a sovereign nation’s airspace.
During the deployment, U.S. bomber aircrews will train and operate alongside NATO Allies and partners for several weeks demonstrating the U.S. commitment to global security and stability.
