Fabulous photos and brilliant scans. They're all good but the 56 Sqn Lightning is my favourite. I'd be interested to know what scanning and processing software you used for these.

Wonderful selection of photos and types.

I would have to agree with others that the 56 sqn Lightning is my favourite but the four-ship of MFG-2 Stars pushes it close. And then there is the JBG-33 TF-104G as well.

Thanks for posting.

When we had 'airshows'! What a cracking line up, that Tracker is really exotic. Thanks for sharing them :thumb:

Thanks for sharing these with us, a great selection of shots and plenty of variety to. Difficult to pick a favourite, but could be the German Gina's and Hooters. And thank you for taking the time to put them up, really enjoyed viewing these.

The Tracker is a C-1 Trader and had made the long flight over from Mildenhall, where it was based mid 1970’s with the Navy base flight there.

Lovely quality scans! That C-1 and the German G-91s are the standout for items for me.

WOW!
It starts with a superb Trader (ex NAS Mildenhall & VR-24) and progresses
For me, #5 really sums up what a great base 'The Heath' was and still is and I remember slowly driving along the grass area alongside the Brandon Road in the 70's trying (with others) to pole-off the 'Tooms' and then off to a higher area of ground to view the visitor area.
A wonderful nostalgic post so thanks for sharing your superb captures
Absolutely love your Flickr pages by the way :thumb:
Best regards, Terry

Fantastic images. Not only the subject aircraft detail, but the background stuff that dates the shot?

The dude in the second G.91 shot wearing extremely dodgy shorts & carrying a cricket bat? Yeah, that would happen these days!
The hand-crafted parcel wrapping fashioned into exhaust nozzle covers on the German TF-104G & G.91 jets.
Shot 2, the Draken with a Commer? camper-van & Bloodhound missile behind it. Also the classic fibre-glass Corvette daily driver. :thumb:

Great selection & happy to see more, maybe that Dutch NF-5B ?
