WAVE Facebook group

Post by Mike » Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:03 pm

Has anyone else been removed & blocked from the WAVE's Facebook group apart from Captain Scarlet, Goose & myself for no apparent reason?

The full name of this group is 'THE WAVE. The Official RAF Waddington Aircraft Viewing Enclosure' and not to be confused with Mike's (reaper493) excellent 'RAF Waddington Movements, Photos and Info' Facebook group.

Not bothered about being removed from that group as it was getting a bit of a 'sunshine spotters' place anyway. Just find it strange that I've had no interaction with any of them that 'run' it so why they feel the need to remove me is a total mystery.

Saying that, they probably looked at my friends list and saw a few they'd already banned so chucked me off by association!

I just hope they've removed all the photos I posted on that group for over 10 years that I was on it.

Good job I don't turn up with my mum (who has a disabled badge) and they try and 'reserve' the front spaces for their mates and put me at the back, you'd all enjoy the show I assure you! :ninja:

You can see it of you type in the full name, it just says private group now but you can see who the admin and moderators are though. ;)

Is it still run by the Coronation Street Fan club ? I could have used the name of some bloke from Germany but that would get me a trip into Zee naughty corner....

That doesn't work for me, it takes me to some 'UK car meets club'. Adolf has blocked me.

I'm definitely banned. No idea why. All a bit petty and silly really.

I wonder if the group is going the same way as a certain Coningsby one? That group is now a bit of a laughing stock with a lot of people who have information not sharing it to the group. All quite counter productive.

I'm in their bad books again today as I met with someone to give them a copy of my book they'd paid for.

I received a message whilst in the car park 'polite reminder that you are not allowed to sell anything in the car park'.

Didn't bother replying.

You vill be shot for a month a dawn for that....

Where I wonder, in the MoD owned land they sit on, it states that they deem themselves to say Vee are the sole traders....?

Clowns is the polite word I'll chose...

There will be a clause (no, nothing to do with Santa) in the lease agreement to say that they are the sole trader within the WAVE compound.

However................

Mike (reaper493) was not trading in the WAVE, he was merely giving someone a book that was already paid for. He should be sent an apology by the 'volunteer' that sent him the ridiculous private message. The trading had already been done when the order was placed and paid for.

It is going to be a long, hard, barren winter for the WAVE 'volunteers' as they are not going to have any customers left if they carry on like this.

Guess the latest post on the group is about you then. "Just a reminder that no one should be buying or exchanging goods in the car park". Little bit pathetic really. Many people hand things over at places like that.

So those people who arrive at the WAVE to collect approved "Wave" merchandise (in particular third party supplied Cobra Warrior merchandise such as patches, which they haven't produced) are actually in breach of their own rules and regulations as hand over of such merchandise is conducted within their area of responsibility and actually by themselves................🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely bonkers!
