17:33 the canopy on both AV are up
The white Casa C-295 with 230 on the side is about to be towed
The Italian EF2000 are nicely side on to the Costco carpark
I won't be here but a security guard said Friday is free to the Public! Can't believe it to be honest but it would a nice thing to do

This one is a demonstrator for the Multi-engine training system (METS) - the replacement for the USN T-44...Orville wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:16 pmThe log for Farnborough from visits on Sunday and Monday. Not everything is visible from outside, but most are except the UH.60M hidden in the chalets area.
The number corresponds to the number on the Farnborough airshow site map to help find what you are looking for.
There are civil and military but on this occasion I think I should be forgiven.

I watched QA538 depart - it was one of the two that were on the flight line at the west end on Monday evening after RIAT

The F-15AQ that departed was carrying the stores. The 'clean' display is due today.

I've never seen an F-15 do a display before...
Hands down the best there IMO. Are most F-15's that agile,or are the QA's something special?

Did the Chinook head back to Odiham post display ?
There was a Chinook over the far side when I returned to my car ..FR24 suggested there were two on the ground ?

Having landed immediately after its role demo, it departed again soon after, just before the B-52, I seem to remember.CHESTER_DRAWERS wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 7:48 pmDid the Chinook head back to Odiham post display ?

There was also the US Army Chinook on static display, or are you asking about a second RAF example?

Many thanks ...yes I saw the US Army one ...I thought the display one departed (and seem to recall the commentator saying "Back to Odiham" ...at 17:00 there was definitely a Chinook over the farside ...on the bizramp it would have been visible from Eelmore.

Re: Farnborough 2024 - 22-26 July
On Thursday ZA707 would fly in and deposit an underslung load including the straps - then display - followed by a landing over by the biz area and someone on a Quad bike came rushing up to the ramp presumably with the strapping and drive on to the Chinook which then departed from the taxiway back to Odiham after only about 10 minutes on the ground. The whole thing was repeated for the afternoon demonstrationCHESTER_DRAWERS wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 9:22 pmMany thanks ...yes I saw the US Army one ...I thought the display one departed (and seem to recall the commentator saying "Back to Odiham" ...at 17:00 there was definitely a Chinook over the farside ...on the bizramp it would have been visible from Eelmore.
