I think the plan is one day, a Clean demo, the other will be fully tooled!

Need to be down the bottom end of the runway when that goes up, and a little bit of moisture in the air. :thumb:

I watched another Youtube Video and looks like it displayed twice each day.

2 different Jets in 2 different configs

Now if they did that... :Wow:  Off the RIAT site, which could be interpreted differntly...
We are very pleased to announce that Boeing will be providing the F-15QA to take part in the flying display at RIAT 2024. The flying display will include a pair of aircraft in Qatari Emiri Air Force colours and each aircraft will perform a solo display on different days of the show. The first aircraft will be configured ‘clean’ to show off the maximum performance of the aircraft, the second will be configured in a combat configuration to demonstrate how little the aircrafts performance is affected when carrying weapons. Both displays will be flown by Boeing test pilots.

To be clear, the Boeing demo is the clean airframe taking off and displaying first, followed by the fully loaded airframe straight after.
RIAT is indeed supposed to have 1 only displaying each day, most likely due to Farnborough being straight after(thus expecting them too to get 1 per day). I'm guessing each pilot will do 4 days each instead of both doing 8 days straight.

Hi all - not sure if this is the place to post this - I can no longer attend RIAT - I have two Cotswold Hospitality tickets (including General Admission and car parking pass) for Sunday 21st. If anyone is interested please PM me, (face value £320)

Hi all. Am I right to assume that next weeks Thursday update will be the last before the show, leastways for for flying participants? The programmes will need to be printed so I guess that will be towards the end of next week or early the week after. I know that additional aircraft for static won't affect the publication so, as it's Farnborough year, how about KAI bailing back an FA50 from the Polish Air Force to try and drum up sales? And it would have been nice if India had sent a Teja (or two) for Farnborough (calling it at RIAT en route!). Dreaming is such fun............

Possibly, but there may still be one on the 11th. Time will tell.

Keldsyke your post may well get lost in this thread. Maybe best to create a new thread under the RIAT heading.

Someone put that they have a car park pass. Is that something you have to add or is this in the general admission ticket. I didn't choose any park and ride so assumed I could park in the car park.

There should have been an option when the ticket was purchased
If you have purchased a general admission ticket you can also add into the basket with this a car pass for your time here. However, if you have purchased an admission ticket with either the Swindon Shuttle Bus or Cheltenham Park & Ride you will not be able to park at the showground. For these tickets, you will need to park either in Swindon or at Cheltenham racecourse. These bus tickets are only valid for the pedestrian entrance which is not accessible from the car parks.
I would email the customer service and they'll add them to your account. You can also go through the buying process then removed the day ticket so just checked out the car ticket. Bit of a farce, that's what I had to do with my bus ticket as it wasn't included with the FRIAT pass

I went through the ticket process again & removed my ticket at the end leaving the car park pass. Not sure how strict they are on this, I'm sure they wouldn't turn people away.

They haven't checked for car park passes previously, but when I bought a few tickets last week I'd forgot to add car park pass, I emailed them and they added it within the next hour !

I've counted 19 static F-16's (purely down as S, ignoring any displays/possible spares) as well as 5 x C-17's! :O :Wow:

(I might have counted wrong, so if anyone else can have a crack  )
It would have been nice to have got 50 F-16's seeing its the 50th anniversary

Your saying Fairfords not big enough?! :D
Realistically you'd need 1750 feet of taxiway (31 foot wingspan & 8 foot between each jet), bravo taxiway is probably 9,000 feet long, not to mention the other hardstands. :)
It would have been a sight! :Wow:

well back in the day we had 25 C.130's in the line up in 1979, also in 1994 40 started for the 40th anniversary, but some were withdrawn, then 1995 the sky tanker line up of KC.135's...
Now they were a trek...

EAR PROTECTION
I offer a word of advice as someone who has reached the need for hearing assistance (I’m now a daft old bat). Many years of inadequate protection, heavy machinery, aircraft engines and large calibre weapons has lead to a loss of hearing.
Protect yourself and any children in your care.

Enjoy the show

The 25x C-130’s were not at Fairford though.
