Post by roberto » Sun Jun 09, 2024 9:08 pm

In the late afternoon you can expect Frecce Tricolori with a bunch of MB339's on route to Canada
They will depart from Leeuwarden around 13.00Z
I presume they will continue the trip on the 11th in the morning

IAM4686 C30J MM62196 on approach to Leeuwarden. Was supposed to be direct to Lossie from Italy so possibly a MB339 is sick

9 MB-339's left Leeuwarden, so 2 left behind
This was the arrival sequence at EHLW, don't know which left behind:
IAM4480 de 0/ 2/ 3/ 4
IAM4484 de 5/ 6/ 7/ 8
IAM4488 de 1/ 9 /10

With these deployments it used to be the norm for support aircraft to arrive before the jets and for other support to come behind acting as sweepers.

Did the G550 arrive at Lossie?

Last MB339's departed Leeuwarden as IAM4491
C-130 IAM4686 also departed
So everything now enroute to Lossie

Well I chose a great day for my first ever visit to Lossiemouth!

The Frecce Tricolori landed in this order:

0 / MM54477
2 / MM54482
3 / MM54534
6 / MM54538
7 / MM54487
8 / MM55058
5 / MM54551
1 / MM55055
9 / MM55054

Number 10 and 4 arrived after I left to get a Chinese takeaway, but they were confirmed parked on the visitors ramp at 1930L. No serials yet.

The Italian P-72, C-130 and Gulfstream were all still present at 1930L too.

Cheers,
DC

All 11 airborne 11am ish. One low 50ft max, second higher continuously throughout the 11 departures. Giving the USAF a run for their money!
