Supporting cast for the B1s, Purple Heron at Whelford Pools.

Just down the road from RAF Fairford is a long-staying juvenile Purple Heron at Whelford Pools Nature Reserve. It shows well from the hide closest to the car park and I called in there a few days ago before work and didn't have to wait long for it to appear and start fishing. It's still there today, Monday 6th November and is well worth a visit if there is a lull in B-1 proceedings!
