A night at RAF Cosford

Post by James Cutting » Tue Apr 16, 2024 1:08 pm

A couple weeks ago I managed to get a ticket to the Threshold.aero held photoshoot at RAF Cosford, their 5th event and my first one. Managed to get a couple of hours at the museum, and despite a couple of aircraft not being available, they managed to pull out 5 different schemed Jaguars, 2 Harriers, a Hawk, an F.3 and a GR.1 :thumb: Brilliant event, the rain held off an thoroughly pleased with my shots! Props to the RAF Cosford Media Team being super helpful to cater to any requests, and doing the light trails you will see at the bottom. Might be marmite for some, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity

Great set James. They just get better as the sky darkens. But then I love a night photo.

Excellent crisp, sharp and detailed images. Great to see my old Sqn GR1 in the finery of its 'Blackhand' markings.

V.nice set. Particularly liking the F3 pics and that dusk shot of the Harrier GR3 which is most atmospheric. Could have been taken on the ramp @ Wittering at the end of a hard days flying!

Thank you, they are good looking jets. I time I wished I could have seen the jets in action but are now consigned to museums (at least a large majority are well kept)
