Lewis Hamilton or one of the Ferrari boys dressed in a wig, after trying to torpedo the Red Bull team in a bid to get closer, as their cars won't :D

I think the truth will out eventually, and so it should for all parties involved, including F1 as a 'sport', it's doing F1 no favours. :(
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Wouldn't bank on it. Still waiting for the Ferrari engine fiasco fallout to be released from 2019. All depends on who's got the best lawyers

Alonso has apparently signed a multi-year contract extension with Aston. Shame. Would have liked to have seen him go to the energy drinks company and either show boy wonder what a real driver can do in the same car, or just be the next casualty.
Guess it's Sainz going back then. I'll give him 2 years, tops

Not a surprising choice, to be honest. Alonso wouldn't race alongside Verstappen, if he went there then he'd want to be #1. All Perez needs to do is get P2 in driver's and help secure the WCC, and he'll have another year there. Mercedes will probably go for Antonelli but keep flirting with Seb it seems. Sainz eventually at Audi...?

I wouldn't bank on Perez staying there. The impression currently is that oberkommando aren't actually fans of him, the only reason he is still there is lack of suitable replacements, with Tsunoda still an unknown and likely to follow Honda to Aston in a few years time, Ricciardo currently under-delivering and Lawson twiddling his thumbs.. Whilst that's no longer the case with Sainz performing and available, as said if Perez does deliver he might just keep his seat.
It has been said that Sainz is already signed with Audi, which may be part of the problem with getting a drive for 2025.
I don't think Seb was ever a serious prospect for a return, baby Kimi would be a gamble. I'd expect a year or two at Williams before a seat in a big team(Even if that's currently not that big a jump!).

Australia will now be the first race of 2025 due to the date of Ramadan.

2025 calendar also provisionally released with Miami and Canada in separate dates in the middle of the early European season yet again. Though at least the ridiculous month gap between the cyclable Belgian and Dutch races is broken up with Hungary now finishing the first half of the season.

Sustainability my backside.

Certainly better news than could have been if indeed true. It'll be interesting to find out how long the deal is for too, with the previously mentioned Audi links.

Absolutely, hopefully Carlos senior will keep him in the right direction 👍

For all those thoroughly fed up with another dull F1 season, check out the US MotoGP from this weekend which will be on ITV4. What a race! Also World Superbikes from Barcelona a couple of weeks ago, more lead changes than you can shake a stick at.

F1 making things up as they go along again this morning. If you have a lap time deleted then you lose that lap AND the next. The fact that Norris didn't gain an advantage for the following lap is irrelevant, that is the rule. Once again they have just decided to ignore the rules. 100% Norris didn't gain an advantage for the following lap, but that's not the point here, you can't just change the rules cos it suits. What if Lewis, knowing that rule to be the case, was extra cautious on his lap to avoid that happening to him? Of course the rule doesn't suit the conditions and it should be addressed but it should be reviewed after the event and everyone notified of the change for next time.
As it happens I'm delighted to see an all British front row for the sprint, hoping for rain tomorrow. I'm assuming Merc will appeal.

"you can't just change the rules cos it suits."

Unfortunately the powers that be that run F1 do change the rules to suit their narrative when it suits. We've seen it a few times over the last few seasons. Abu Dhabi 2021 being a prime example.
This is one reason F1 fans are turning away from the sport .

Certainly brings the results of a number of previous sessions over the years into question if today's interpretation of the rules had been applied. Quite a farce of a day in China so far

China qualifying.
Last period. The ridiculous sight of all those cars being deliberately slowed down from leaving the pit lane to get an advantage.
Track limits karma Norris. Oh no maybe not. Farce!

More down to earth racing series starting next week 👍
