Specialist Photo Competition - Special Schemes
Specialist Photo Competition - Special Schemes
FC user F3 (Mick) has suggested another specialist competition, with the prize being a copy of his Church Fenton book for the winner and and runner up.
The rules are -
1. 1 entry per person, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry.
2. The subject must be in a commemorative scheme for an anniversary (ie 100th Anniversary of 2sqd - Shiny 2 Tornado GR4 Scheme). Not to include display schemes, unless they are commemorative (ie D-day Striped Typhoon in 2014). Tiger schemes can be included if they are to commemorate the anniversary of a Tiger Meet or Tiger Squadron.
3. Prize is for UK entries only.
4. Entires will remain open until 23.59hrs 14th April 2024, there will then be a 7 day period for votes.
5. The image can be photo-shopped to some extent, levels changes, cropping, sharpening etc. are all acceptable. The photograph must retain it’s initial subject though, don’t make it something it’s not (cutting and pasting the moon into the shot, for example). HDR images are not acceptable. If you are unsure, please PM a moderator.
6. The voting will be carried out by you, the members of FC, by a poll which will be created at the closing of the competition.
7. Moderators/Administrators will not be exempt from the competition, but cannot vote for their own entry.
8. All images must be posted in line with the usual FC posting rules
9. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
10. Please do not comment on entries other than your own.
Thanks
Mike

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Kalamata Air Base, in the Peloponnese, Greece, home to 361 Air Training Squadron, Hellenic Air Force.
Commemorating 50 years (1963-2013) since formation, it uses Beechcraft T-6A Texan II as an advanced trainer. The graphic on the tail shows Icarus (from Greek mythology) in representing the new trainee. MEA is the Greek acronym for Air Training Squadron.
Ground personnel are also admiring the graphics, amidst Peloponnese scenery and visiting aviation enthusiasts . . .
