Top up the tanks, kick the tyres and she looks ready to fly.

The fog shots reminded me of a shot I couldnt get. While at Leuchars we were fishing on the river Eden for Sea Trout on a miserable light foggy evening .All of a sudden there was a lot of noise and shortly after 2 Phantoms hammered down the runway not too far away from us.I have never forgotten looking up from the river and seeing them hurtle along the runway ,the afterburners turning everything around into an amazing spread of colours. It only probably lasted seconds but it was awesome as was the noise and vibration.Didnt have the camera as didnt want to risk tipping over in the river with it.Dont know if it was a real QRA but we heard them shifting frames and there were 2 others in the shed when we went home. The one you show might even have been one of them.Great shots the composition is the bit I always get wrong.

Great shots, very atmospheric, thanks for sharing these with us. Another sadly missed type.
