Can anyone help, l have lost the plot!
How many are supposed to be delivered, how late are deliveries and have Boeing had to pay contractual penalties.
I fell sorry for the USAF. They are stuck with a failed buying system, that is expensive and “anti-competitive”.
Boeing has lost its reputation for making well designed and built aircraft. Now it’s loose bolts.

Filmman, to my knowledge, so far 143 ordered out of planned 179. I have 81 delivered to Units with 4 EMD and 3 from LRIP 1 still with Boeing. Not sure how late deliveries are or contractural penalties etc.

EMD-4
LRIP 1 - 7 (4 Delivered)
LRIP 2 - 12 (12 Delivered)
LRIP 3 - 15 (15 Delivered)
Lot 4 - 18 (18 Delivered)
Lot 5 - 15 (15 Delivered)
Lot 6 - 12 (12 Delivered)
Lot 7 - 15 (5 Delivered)
Lot 8 - 15
Lot 9 - 15
Lot 10 - 15

21-46091 left Boeing Field on delivery to 305 AMW at McGuire today (1st March). It flew as Pudgy20, the 20th KC-46A to be delivered to the unit.

I’d like to say that I read it off while I was at BFI yesterday but like all of the current crop of KC-46s it has a blank tail. Of the 4 that were there (other USAF ones being 088 and 090) the only one with marks is 44-3614 for the JASDF, which has a large 614 on the nose, but rather bizarrely (at least, I don’t understand it) 24-46404 on the tail

24-46404 is the FMS serial for the JASDF jet. Is 44-3614 confirmed as the Japanese serial because I saw it in December and it was wearing 34-3614?
Regards

It could have been marked as both if delivery has been delayed as the first digit is from the delivery year. If expected 2023 it would have been originally marked 34-3614 but looks to be a 2024 delivery so serial amended to 44-3614. Japan have done similar before with other deliveries that have moved.
