Lossie 2023

Post by np1991 » Thu Jan 04, 2024 4:59 pm

Happy New Year to all, hope its a good one!
A few from a decent year at Lossie, a good amount of visiting aircraft both fast jet and heavy throughout the year!

This is a wonderful eclectic set showing the super clear atmosphere of Moray to the max'. All your shots are amazing & you've clearly taken some time to showcase these, & they're so good to see. :thumb:
How can we say 'Wow, that grey scheme is good'?...but the Danish F-16's look great as shown in shot 16. Head-on shots are very nice to see. If I had to picky-pick a last placing, it would be shot 18. The P8 looks super & I know the old fence behind (& new!) falls away dramatically, but to my eye the threshold needs a tad of 'RH down'. It won't ever stop it being a brilliant shot though! ;)

Gorgeously sharp and varied selection. I especially liked the night time ramp shot of 2 Sq Typhoons but all of them are excellent. Doesn't look as though I'll ever get to visit the base so these will more than sate my appetite! Thank you for posting.

Thanks folks, greatly appreciated.

Phantom, ZK312 appeared the day before families day in July with the round 6 Sqn badge, but it was removed the week after. However, it re appeared with it in October and still has it applied. As far as I'm aware it's the only one to carry that marking for now, I'm unsure if it'll become the normal tail marking or it if was a one off, hopefully 6 Sqn mark up a few more jets so we can find out 😎
Cheers Niall

Excellent collection, nice variety - makes the weather seem better up there than I remember/have usually experienced when I've visited!
