Morning folks.
I had a day out in Ely yesterday and caught sight of a few USAF aircraft.
MC-130J(s) (presumably, considering the proximity to Mildenhall) were seen at the following times
12:06 circled over Ely
12:14 Photographed heading to Mildenhall (The number on the tail looks pretty similar to 35778 to me but given the distance, it is hard to be sure)
12:20 Photographed heading towards Ely from Mildenhall
12:31 Photographed heading towards Mildenhall (Again, looks like 5778 on the nose)
F-35s
12:45 - 1 pair photographed roughly North / North West of Ely, from the sounds of it they were around for a little while
13:31 - 1 pair photographed, North of Ely, ascending Westward by the looks, did not stick around at all
Also caught a KC-135 out of Mildenhall at 13:07, though that was quickly lost in the cloud East of Ely, ADSB showed 60-0335
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: USAF Over Ely - 20/12/2023
13-5778 C-130J returned from Fairford around that time as 'Strix67', looks like it was the one you saw :- viewtopic.php?f=8&t=239382&p=1561800&hi ... 8#p1561800
I don't think you'll ever find out which F-35's you saw, yesterday's Lakenheath movements can be found here if it's of any help :- viewtopic.php?f=8&t=239373

Sounds like it was a very busy day at Lakenheath (it certainly did from where I was standing) so I'm not surprised about not getting the F-35s, thank you nonetheless! Looks pretty solid on the C-130 though which is nice
