Yorknite 2023
Re: Yorknite 2023
Do we know which airframes left?
Re: Yorknite 2023
New arrivals confirmed as J-5017 and J-5236. No idea on the two that have departed, but J-5011 (the tiger special) is still here.

Re: Yorknite 2023
I don`t know for certain because I wasn`t there, but it would seem very possible it would have been two F/A-18Ds based on what happened during last years exercise.
Last year they sent all the two-seaters from Det.1 back home during the third week and brought in a new one. In respect to this year, the new arrival for Det.2 is known to be J-5236 and J-5234 is known to have gone home today. That would seem to suggest that J-5232 and J-5238 may have been the pair that went home yesterday, but as I say, I don`t know for certain.
I`m sure someone will reveal all soon, that or the many photo`s being posted on FB will allow the serials to be worked out.
Hope this helps in some way?
Re: Yorknite 2023
Nice Logic
the only possible fly in the ointment is J-5021.
To my knowledge this has not been seen (at least in daylight hours) since its arrival on 20th November

If you just scroll back a page you`ll note this was raised by a previous poster, to which I replied. Obviously we`re a bit further on now but it has flown at least twice since 20.11.23 to my knowledge.
Whether it`s still at Leeming I don`t know.

T-785 has just departed as SUI541.
Routine or something to do with the end of the deployment?

Deployment should end like last year with last flying (exercise) day Wednesday, F/A-18s home Thursday and remainder of the personnel Friday. Thats if the weather doesn`t cause any further problems.

Not sure about J-5003 but it flew early on Monday on its own. Perhaps it was a test flight and it`s poorly? Has it flown since Monday I wonder?
Re: Yorknite 2023
Yes, it was also part of the main 8 ship that went at after 2.30. As was J-5002 which hasn't departed yet.Focal_Plane wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:14 pmThanks for the list.fatherfaff wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 11:56 am017/005 left 1130
