Yorknite 2023

Post by planeboy001 » Fri Nov 10, 2023 6:01 pm

Good evening,

Does anyone have any details on the above ? - Scramble has it starting on Monday 20th Nov .

Any info ' would be helpful as a trip across the Pennines for an ' oldie spotter ' is a challenge.

Thank you , Ian

Think it's the same plan as the last few years. Three sorties per day, the first being after 2pm. Most to the 323s but some to Spade and a navex via LFA17 in the first slot. Mid way through the exercise they'll swap crews so all get night qualified.

Does 20th. Nov. become the arrival date for the ground crews & Hornets?

Usually the ground crews arrive on a Helvetic civi in the morning followed by the Hornets. However last year they delayed due to the weather.
MISSING - x1 Air Force.
If found please return to the UK.

Thanks for that response to my question, PR9. Hope the weather this year is good in Switzerland & Yorkshire, rain looks likely but I can deal with that so hope the Swiss AF can as well.

SUI401B/C active at Payern as of 1215Z

I assume a change of aircraft from the earlier technical issue for 401A
