Wow, what great fun are the sprints! So glad they bring a change of proceedings!

The only thing Fernando Alonso is interested in is Fernando Alonso
F1 driver in being completely self centred shocker!

Many of them seem to be reasonably well balanced people.

Alonso often talks about himself (out loud) in the third person , I am not saying he is a bad person, I have obviously never met him but to me he comes across as a narcissist.

Glad I'm not the only one who can't stand him, makes Max look an angel.

Wrong tyres unfortunately. May be a different case with mediums/hard.
Wierd race that. Used softs obviously couldn't last the 24 laps, whilst the mediums were too slow. Fairly entertaining at least, although it unfortunately means another easy win later asuming it stays dry.

I wouldn't go that far! Though at least boy wonder does his dirty deeds on the track, whereas Alonso does most of his damage in the media.

Yep. Realised it was a tyre problem for Lewis yesterday. A wet race later today would shake things up somewhat tho'. !!.

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦
I’m halfway through the sprint replay and wondered :S

DRS Currently it is only allowed in certain parts of the circuit, correct?

Would it make for a more interesting race if it could be used whenever the driver chose?

Comments please

It can only be used when on a straight that is a designated zone. Can't be used in corners.

And probably not, it would just create DRS trains where they all get stuck behind each other using DRS.

Only during the race(s), during practice and qually, DRS use is up to the driver. Just in case ;)

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Ricciardo is a lucky boy, 3ft further forward and he'd be in deep deep do-do!

Great drive by Alonso and a good battle for 3rd place. Aston seem to have sorted out the downgrades and got the car working again. Lando doing more great work with the McClaren and Max just owning it....again.

Massive  at Mercedaze.

So it's the Las Vegas GP.

Can't say I am looking forward to it. Not only a bad start time for us with the race, but I find Vegas just to be a soulless & fake place, and I'm pretty sure Sky's coverage will be utterly hyped up and cringeworthy (as will Ch4's no doubt).

Las Vegas!!. So horrible it's fascinating. Bad taste capital of the world. I have a feeling it's going to be a financial disaster.

Vegas is great if you like aircraft - McCarran or Harry whatever it's called now is brilliant and Nellis up the road - paradise?

I shudder to think how much biz is in the area as it's extremely busy on a normal weekend!
