Czech spy?
Czech spy?
Does anybody else on here remember this bloke from the 1970s? Him and his father had a business called 'Thunderbird Aviation Photographs and Tours'. The story appeared in the 'Mail online' on the 15th July this year. I did a search but couldn't find any discussion on here.

Re: Czech spy?
I remember hearing of them but did not know the individual.

Should be prosecuted. Traitor.
Re: Czech spy?
I wonder if there are any spies currently who are members of FC?

Re: Czech spy?
I reckon that bloke who spends everyday streaming from military bases with his teddy bears is a prime candidate!

Re: Czech spy?
Very nearly booked a trip with them eons ago. Pulled out late because of work. Was going to do some of the U.S.A. with him, including Harlingen [C.A.F]. It sounded a good deal, because if you did the driving, he gave a substantial discount. Did it privately the following year. There were frequent adverts in Aviation Magazines.
Re: Czech spy?
One thing I find strange is that any 'intelligence organisation' would pay for the low level information that would have been available in the enthusiasts publications at the time. Magazines such as 'Military Aviation Review', 'Flash' etc. and numerous 'spotters' groups news letters were available with the sort of information he was selling. I went on a few trips with him up until the late '70s and he seemed a bit of a boy 'Walter Mitty' character but not what you'd think of as a 'spy'.
