Northolt Photocall 2008

Post by Sixoneseven » Fri Oct 20, 2023 4:12 pm

2008 hardly feels like nostalgia, but at that time Northolt attracted some really interesting participants. In 2008 it was also held on a glorious warm and sunny June day. It was 15 years ago - although it feels to me like only 4 or 5 years ago!

Thanks for sharing these with us, it brings back some great memories. I attended this one, along with a couple of others and I've spotted myself in the background of one shot. Sadly these events came to an end after a few years.

Great collection of photos. Never anything like that when I was based there. I do remember a small wire fenced enclosure for 'spotters' which was accessed from West End Road near the end of the runway. I had to get permission to carry a camera at work and the get the permission of the crew to photograph any aircraft. Looks to be a very 'new' southside pan, completely resurfaced from the old rough concrete.

Crikey, I'm with you - that does only seem like 5 years ago, not 15! Great photos.
