Re: Hawker Tempest flies
Great to see, there's been several restoration projects in the UK over the past few decades, so well worth the wait. Looking forward to seeing it in the air at some time. Thanks for sharing these with us.

It's lovely to be able to see these photos. Some more, showing its arrival at Duxford, are here: https://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic ... 92#p954092 and here: https://www.facebook.com/FansofDuxford/ ... ra9g5rUrWl
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Fantastic! Is there a Sabre engined Tempest in the offing? I gather funding has stalled on the Typhoon resotoration sadly.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

I haven't heard about any Sabre-engined Tempest projects. There is a second Tempest II being worked on in Wales (MW758) but the Sabre action is all on the Typhoon side right now.

Currently residing in Hangar 3 at Duxford. Hopefully she’s rolled out for the flying finale on Saturday.
