Tiger Meet 2023
Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Furthermore when exiting on the coach a second S.208M in special marks was noted, and another (possibly the one that departed during the morning) arrived just after the Elephant Walk.
Re: Tiger Meet 2023
The 2 s/m Turkish F-16's were:
92-0014 (orange tiger colours) and
93-0685 (red/blue c/s)
Both confirmed at the open day as well as Greek F-16C 003 was the Tiger s/m.

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Thanks Shalter - are you sure about the Greek because I read one of the other F-16s as 003?

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Thanks to all for posts so far, a few extra bits from me.
Confirmed serial of Rafale 359 30/FZ read off nose wheel plate on Open Day
The 3 Italian HH101’s
MM81868/9-05 dark grey c/s,
MM81871/9-10 light grey c/s,
MM81875/9-14 light grey c/s,
Greek 003 was seen both with & without its special marks decals, as in Greece last year they seemed to be having trouble keeping it stuck on! On the open day it was half hanging off on the right side first thing.
Just wish to confirm arriving GAF Tornado on Friday 43+59, this was not seen on Sunday.
A few visitors noted Sun late pm & Mon,
OO-FAE F7X BAF (seen Mon)
0454 C295M Czech AF (seen Sun still there Mon)
136/ABR TBM700 French Army (seen Mon) from ADSB
MM62317/14-31 KA-350ER Italian AF (seen Mon)
MM62214 C-27J Italian AF (seen Mon)
T-784 Citation560XL Swiss AF (seen Sun)

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Brilliant - that explains why I couldn't see the special Greek on the flight line.
Yes, I too saw 43+59 arrive on the Friday after lunch.
Thanks to everyone who has filled in all the gaps.

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
On Thur pm (at 14:35 on my camera) a Greek CL-415 flew over the base heading east. Bit blurry, but looks like 2049.
Did anyone else see & photograph it? It wasn’t plotting from what I could tell.
Thanks if anyone can help
Andy

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Hey Gary, as I've talked to some of my country pilots ( French ) , it apparently was due to the crash of one of the planes of the Frecce Tricolori a few weeks ago ...Gary wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 1:39 pmNo flying at the open day, must have been a change of plan. There was a Belgian F-16 display patch available for the show.
Despite no flying was a good day. There would have been riots at RIAT if the food vendors were as slow as they was today.
Some of the Italians lived up to the stereotypes about them not knowing how to queue or just barge
Fortunately we saw some stuff on Friday but ended with a meh saddly with the last part that took 100 years to set up for the photographer on board of the helicopter
Cheers.
Hopefully the next one in Germany will be good ( I hope this is not copium haha )

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Enjoying this.
Arrived in time for the afternoon launch - slight panic as the southern runway was closed for about an hour but thankfully reopened for the bulk of the recoveries
The afternoon light is incredible and with a bit id discretion I could shoot right at the fence
Ticked off everything I need to see with the exception of 31+69 - is it here ?
Thanks for the updates over the past week
( someone has left a pair of ladders by a stone farm building - if they are still there I may make use of them)

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
A couple of locals thought there might be another pair of GAF Tornados in later but I had to push off and find my hotel as I didn't know where it was - arrived and sat outside drinking Vino Rossi - local Gioia del Colle Riserva made locally - delicious with a biscuit that looks like a dog biscuit ( taralici?) but is very well matched to the red wine
A Italian Navy HH-139 coded 15-44 arrived then I saw another in the distance that looked like it was code 15-41 ?

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
If it helps Greek CL-415 2049 was at Naples Airport Thursday 5.10.23 morning. It was not there on 7.10. when I flew back to the UK.

Sorry, Mike, 31+69 is a mistake isn’t it. I will check what it should have been when I get home.

Probably 30+69
Your initial lists are still very useful thanks again
My first visit to GdC - nice place

( I was intending to go to Frisian Flag but GdC looked so inviting from the photos I saw - apparently there isn't a Frisian Flag 2024 due to other commitments ? Which is a bummer)
Marham on Monday - Gioia del Colle on Tuesday what a difference a day market!

19:20L / 17:20Z from the B&B verandah (patio if you live in Norfolk) I heard a jet departing GdC in the dark in the last few minutes - didn't sound that loud so maybe the GFD Learjet 35:D-CGFB although not tracking
( it is apparent that most of the interesting Bari movements happen in the dark - I only saw a police helicopter that I couldn't read during the day when I arrived - better luck tomorrow morning on the way home)

Where is the code on HH-101 - I have quite clean photos of both 81871 and 81875 but can't for the life of me see the codes
Also where is the serial of the Red Turkish Tiger Viper ?
