Not really, they had a valid reason for being over the time set so fair enough. My point was whats the point in having a rule that doesn't really carry a penalty if you break it ?

I’ve still not seen anything that actually said they were over it and for a given reason, everywhere I have looked just says they were cleared?

Was on the Notebook. They were over it due to getting out the way of faster cars so not a problem.

Indeed, no point whatsoever having a rule that carries no penalty if broken, like a pencil without a lead , pointless.. :Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Ah okay (I was back to editing at that point!) I suppose that's a valid enough exemption for the rule they very quickly made overnight.

But I do agree what is the point if no fines/penalties? They must have thought they wouldn't get out of Monza alive if they stripped their 1-3

Anyway, here's to a Ferrari 1-2 today...well I hope (but know is unlikely)

Not really a Ferrari fan but I do like Sainz and Leclerc. Would be awesome for them to do well at home, especially if it stopped RBs run. Anyway knowing Ferrari they'll probably pit on the first lap for full wets, which won't be ready.

Or even worse; lead in your pencil but no-one to write to!

The reprimand system is almost pointless, however from the www

https://wtf1.com/post/heres-how-many-re ... s-in-2022/

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET TOO MANY?
The current sporting regulations state that any driver who receives five of these reprimands in a season will be given a ten-place grid penalty at that event or at the next race if their final reprimand is given during the Grand Prix.

At least four of these reprimands need to be driving offences, too.

This number has also been increased from three reprimands to five for 2022.

HAS A DRIVER EVER GOT A PENALTY FOR TOO MANY REPRIMANDS?
In 2013, Mark Webber was given a ten-place grid drop for the Korean Grand Prix for reaching three reprimands when Fernando Alonso gave him a rather unusual lift back to the pitlane!

Basically a slap on the wrist from Stefano Domenicali

Blimey, Korea, that was short lived, along with India, both custom built facilities I think. What a waste. Wonder if China will ever be back?
Had a quick look while composing this, 2004 was the first Chinese GP. Feels like a newer one to me!

Behind boy wonder that is far from the case. The 2nd fastest team changes nearly on a weekly basis. Unfortunately that is also helping said boy and the drinks company extend their lead.

What a race. How hard did Sainz have to work, firstly vs Max and his own team mate at the end. Fair play.

Was a brilliant race for a change and goes to show there's some good battles to be had. We can only dream Ferrari have a more consistent car to have battled Red Bull more often.
