Seen worse.

Interesting loadout on the Typhoon taxying out during the "Alpha Scramble" from Amari towards the end of the 3rd section of the program (about 45 mins in). What's the pod on the port wing station? Doesn't look anything like the drop tank on the starboard wing. Looks a bit like the ECM pods that Growlers carry - square/rectangular section not round. I realise the program is probably edited together from lots of different footage, but never noticed anything like that on a Typhoon in the UK.

I've yet to see the programme - recorded however - so can't comment with 100% accuracy, but what you describe suggests it could it be a Storm Shadow ALCM?

Interesting programme and will watch the rest of the series. As has already been said it is apparent that a good deal of editing has been done; for example I noticed when 'Jake' (a Royal Navy Lieutenant- which was not mentioned) ran up the aircraft steps on QRA he was wearing a green helmet, but when airborne he had changed it for a grey one!
Good programme!

First dogfight between newbie and boss straight out of top gun, not very original script writing.

Still at least newbie didn’t buzz the tower, and no interview without coffee!

Not too bad a programme, but my, how the RAF has changed in the 40:years since I left.😁😁😁😁

Great watch, yes I spotted a couple of continuity errors (Like the changing helmets as mentioned), they should really have mentioned the Navy pilot I feel. Didn't spot the strange pod on the port wing will have to go back & watch it again.
Thought it was also good not being 100% all about the pilots but also featured those that ensure the pilots can do their job.

The 1st was good, Nice to see the RN represented as they dont really have a fixed wing section anymore. Demonstrates the Tri-Service bit working in reality?

I was expecting this to be a lot of knobbery, but it was actually quite good. None of this faux peril before and after the ad breaks.

Two things that stood out for me. The "junior" pilot was 28 years old and had been in for 8 years before getting to this stage in his career! Doesn't say a lot for the RAF pilot training pipeline. (No disrespect to the pilot).

Hope the rest of this series is as good.

Both sides just carried the standard drop tanks. No pods apart from the centre-line and the wing tip pods. All as standard.
