Thanks for clarification. I was certain I was hearing Venom Formation. I'd best get to Specsavers.

Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
No worries Vandal! I was unaware of the Phoons' individual callsigns. Glad someone caught them. Once again a nice catch at Edinburgh airport, overhead the mound at crash gate 6. Shame they couldn't venture out a wee bit further West, I'd get them from my back garden!
Well that's PLANE to see!

Photos on the RAF Lossiemouth Spotters Group show ZK378 & ZK425 landing in very dim light late yesterday evening, but this isn't proof that these were the pair that did the flypast.calderdepot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 8:55 pmOne of the Typhoons was SPARTAN62 ZK378 briefly pinged up on approach back to Lossiemouth at 2150. No sign of the other.
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
Think I remember seeing another 2 on FR24 just after the Flypast so that might have been those ones Mike…. Mind you though ZK378 was on FR24 heading home to Lossie so you never know?

The other two typhoons that I saw pinging up were 314 and 439. Both headed in south easterly direction out over the North Sea. However 378 popped up heading 0° at 2143L just north of Braemar which if traced back lined up with the group flying north over the bridges at 2133L heading 0°. 10 mins of flight time seems about right between those two points. Not 100% proof but most likely to be. Happy to be corrected.

Red 11 recovered to Edinburgh after the flypast
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
I thought I heard Red 11 on the scanner, but assumed he was part of the formation.
Photoship maybe?
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
Any idea how we can get the serials of the Red Arrows Hawks involved in Tonight’s Flypast? Including that of Hawk Red 11 which landed at Edinburgh Airport after the Flypast?

Broke out of the formation as the rest of the formation turned south,I`m gonna guess Red 11 is gonna be at the Tattoo as a guest for the later performance tonight? Wasn`t an emergency situation as Red11 was prebooked into Edinburgh
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
Yeah, weather was favourable. Got them at Joppa. Had my wife and daughter with me. Nearly missed filming them as I had a slight disaster with the camcorder
Anyway, currently at Edinburgh airport for the next one in a few minutes! All manner of gadgets to help track the next flypast with me! ( Any more gadgets and my wife is going to go crazy!!!

Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
Any idea if it’s a single or 2 ship? What’s happened to the A400?
Re: Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo Flypasts 2023
Can't see others with it. Believe it may be a solo. I think in earlier posts on this thread it alluded to it being a solo Phoon.
Well that's PLANE to see!
