I am sure planestv are fuming, they are supposed to have exclusive live streaming rights for RIAT but there were at least two channels streaming the show this year. I won't lie I was one of the thousands of people watching it for free.

That tanker flypast was a joke B-52 launched hours ago only to wait for a kc-135 for it to fly 5 mins ahead of it? What a joke what kind of flypast is that?

Must have long ol' boom on the 135, given how far behind the B52 was.

Was fun seeing the Buff motoring to try and catch it up

A safe one I'd imagine. If they could have, they would have I'm sure.

Modern day B-52 displays are nothing like the Swashbuckler days of Airfete :thumb: but then it is getting on a bit!

From my vantage it seemed the KC-135 got the call to run in and the Buff was slow to turn in behind it, hence the separation

Ah yes Air Fete displays were awesome. FairPlay to the Jordanian Falcons for even attempting to take off .

Is there any reason why the B-52 is still holding over Brize after its flypast?

Buff gone tech in the air, burning off fuel before landing? I’m clutching at straws now 🤣

What a waste of fuel!

I love air displays and aviation, but I can't help but think that the B-52H's 28 loops is down to bad planning or as you say a tech issue....!

Surely the show schedule will give a clue as to whether it's supposed to display? It was scheduled for a 5pm slot yesterday before it got cancelled

I expect the B-52 crew can tick off their flying hours for the week by staying up and circling. (You saw this happen with various aircraft staying up after incepting the Chinese balloon over the US a few months back)
