Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
This just dropped in re tomorrow.
RIAT23 Saturday July 15th weather update
We understand that the weather forecast has caused concern among those who are planning on visiting this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo.
Colleagues within our Air Operations team are in constant communication with the Met Office, who are also on site at RAF Fairford. We can confirm that having reviewed all relevant information, Saturday's RIAT will take place as planned.
For people who are travelling to us tomorrow, we encourage them to prepare appropriately with warm and waterproof clothing, as well as suitable footwear. Please make sure you have your tickets and car passes handy. Also, please ensure you follow our advertised routes and
not your sat nav.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
I have just realised I have not booked a car parking pass for tomorrow, wasn't needed last year and somehow missed it when booking tickets on the website.Anyone know if we will be allowed in,can they be issued on the day?,or is it a case of trying for Sunday? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
Really don't see it being a problem.
No doubt a fair few will miss today anyway.

Any idea how much of this will still fly

According to a comment from the late Eric Morcombe
“…they may all fly … but not necessarily in that order!”

Looking down to 27 end from FRIAT, the road looks f***ed!! Not a lot of movement. Really poor traffic management each night and this morning.
Thankfully, commentary in the grandstand today so useful for updates.
