RS02 is the same airframe that displayed in 2017 :thumb:

Do like how none of the weather website agree on forecasts nowadays too

Suppose it means more moisture in the air and more fluffy shots :D 2019 weather was alright.
From what I remember, 2019 was a washout on Saturday!

An A400 did a few mild circuits, and a Spanish Harrier created a nice cloud of spray on the runway - that was it!!!!
I'd want my money back ! 😂😂

Remember the good old days when you could buy a ticket on the day ? You could choose the best weather day to go, although if I remember that didn't always work out with the good auld British weather 😂

I'd decided to drive and park at the airfield (normally use Park and Ride). Got back to the car and found I couldn't open the rear hatch! Had to climb through the back seats to get dry clothes!

I assume it was water in the mechanism, but it was the first and last time I had problems with it.

I think that was the Friday as I remember the NATO E-3 pass and the Harrier whilst we sheltered in the Tucano tent :D

Yep it was Friday. I remember attempting to contact the show organisers to try to pursuade them to open up the rest of the static display area to give us something to do!

Definitely was the Friday as that Harrier landing was well worth getting soaked for, E-3 did a flypast and Tucano went up to check out conditions and landed practically straight away, A few other aircraft went up and down the runway and I think the Chinook did its display that day too.

Friday 2019 ended up with most of the displays cancelled because the weather was bad. Lets hope its not a repeat.

Is it possible to catch the arrivals outside the airfield? As I am coming by car out of the Netherlands…?

Thanks in advance!

Only things to arrive on Tuesday are the f-35’s or f-22’s in the past

This place is under the approach, and has a footpath to the airfield.

Apparently you get moved along if waiting around the perimeter.
