The frailty of ENG middle order exposed again. Hopefully changes for 4th test using form and not reputation

Good idea once the Ashes are gone. Make wholesale changes, win the last two and say 'But we only lost 3-2!"

37 to win and a drinks break which is handy!

Broad wood and Robinson to come - easy money

Apart from the last two tests ( dropped chances) England have been on one of their best runs with good away wins

Spin on - Tod Murphy? Who - first ball no ball

28 to win

Wickets in hand

Next ball short and wide - 4

Australia are poor - England make them look good?

No wickets in hand

Woods immediately off the mark

19 to win

Wood an Woakes obviously need to be careful ( Woods careful!?!)

Thought this would be easy!

It was never going to be easy, the pitch was always going to make it interesting.

England one down with two to play

Fantastic entertainment credit to both sides - Australia could have won this but they didn't

Woods with the bat or ball - incredible

Stokes in the first innings was of course crucial

One match at a time - Old Trafford to come

Mark Wood given the MOM award

Glen McGrath bemoaning that Australia batted in difficult conditions and bowled in the sunshine - I thought it was supposed to be Whinging Poms!

How do you spot a Whinging Australian? - they have an Australian passport

Really well done England. Bowlers win it batting at the end like Old, Willis etc. Heady stuff listening to some of the game on a wireless being crowded around at one of the exhibits at the Woodhall Spa 40’s day.

England just need to stop falling into the Aussie trap of going for the short ball. How many wickets have they lost to the short ball this series
