I know it's a bit early to worry about the weather but the nearest BBC 14 day forecasts for Anzio and Rome are looking pretty wet for the arrivals and show days.

Nice and warm though so we should dry off fast!

For those who registered for the spotters pass on Friday, check your junk folder if you haven't received confirmation yet as that's where mine was hiding.

It just confirms timing, some basic rules and which access point to use. I had a look on Google Streetview and it looks like a crash gate with a car park behind it on the western boundary of the base.

I think it closed May 26th.

Anybody know if there is an itineray for the Friday and the practice flypast times?

You're welcome Warthog, good luck. You could probably turn up at the gate and bluff it if not!

Weather forecasts looking better now, fingers crossed.

From an update on an Italian website: https://www.deskaeronautico.it/s20-23-a ... -militare/

(Using Google translate) - "The program of the event includes dress rehearsals on Friday 16 June with AM and spotter day guests. The historical flying display, the Frecce Tricolori and the air parade are scheduled for Friday morning. In the afternoon HH139, 100 years formation and display of the Experimental Flight Department.

Saturday 17 June is the first day of the event. In the morning: historic flying display, Italian Drone Cup and air parade. In the afternoon: HH-139, formation 100 years, Experimental Flight Department and Frecce Tricolori. Sunday 18 June the same program as Saturday will be broadcast live on RAI and in the presence of the Authorities."

Does anybody know what the parking arrangements are for the public days Sat/Sun? At previous shows there it was chaos as no on base parking and no off base official either. It was just a case of find somewhere to leave your car. Thanks.

There are official parkings outside the airbase, no parkings on site. But with all the small local roads over there, chaos seems to be guaranteed. Just come as early as possible, and stay as long as possible

The P-51 trio practice was on when my bus from Rome arrived and looked good, then some Frecce flypasts and an EF2000 around 16.00. The G.91R just flew past my balcony at 16.23 and 16.25!

I’ve been looking forward to this for ages, have a great show everyone who’s lucky enough to be here, and don’t forget the sunscreen, the forecast looks scorchio!

Spent the day in the naughty fields today. What a great day and well done to the Italian airforce of putting on a superb free show. Looking forward to being inside the fence tomorrow.

In the end they were letting people in who had not pre registered or who had but did not receive confirmation.. very relaxed so anyone who turned up for the spotters day got in.
