I'm considering a trip to London to see this with my sprog, as it's a pretty unique opportunity. Does anyone have any concrete info that it will be on the scale of the Coronation Flypast? British Gliding Association is currently my primary source. Also any recommendations for spots to get a good view (excepting the Balcony at Buckingham Palace). IIRC someone mentioned one of the bridges as a good spot in the run up to the coronation?

I normally go to Waterloo Bridge, but anywhere along the Southbank from the Shard onwards would be a good place

Does anyone know if the Hercs will be able to join the flypast or will Wednesday be their last day?

The flypast will allegedly include a formation of three Hercs. The Hercs remain in service until the end of the month.

A notam is up for increased aerial activity at Benson on Saturday 17th, 0800-1530z (0900-1630L), presumably for the helis https://ourairports.com/airports/EGUB/notams.html

I too am not a photographer & always enjoyed seeing these when I lived in London. The last one I saw was the RAF 100 flypast which like many of the others over the years I saw from Waterloo bridge. It gives a nice view of the flypast coming in over the city & you can watch it all go over the palace the other way. I hope you & sprog enjoy!

I would imagine this is for the RAFAC Muster occurring on that date - attempting to fly as many of the 2000 cadets attending over the course of the day in Chinooks and Pumas

There's rather a large launch of Typhoons from Cby currently in progress...........at least 8 all heading the same sort of route as previous Typhoon element "practice" launches

I'm wondering if they will do the same route as when they did the practice run for the damp squib Coronation, which was similar to what the Hercs did the other day - not the farewell route.

No Airseeker? Are they on Ops at the moment?👍
And there's plenty more where that came from!

Any idea/indication where the helicopter contingent will fly into and depart from - I know they used Benson previously but they have the RAFAC Muster at the same time

Flypast will be at 1pm BST, no info on the aircraft involved.
