Wonder why they are not doing a flyover at Fairford, 30 and 47 Squadrons operated C-130s from there for three years before moving to Lyneham in 71 and it is on the way in or out of Brize.
I thought the same - still, we did have Omen Flt do a run and break and spend just over an hour on the ground at Fairford this afternoon. Guess us locals will have to make do with that.
I have a feeling that these practice flights are being done over known places where the Hercules has history or former ties that couldn't be covered on the day, I'm watching with interest to see if they go to the Loop

I'm hoping the Loop will be on Wednesday between Cosford and Valley flypasts

Sennybridge , Pembrey & Braunton should have been on the route! Very annoying for quite a few people but that’s the way it goes

Will this be their final flights in service or will they make the king's birthing flypast?

Could have included Keevil, I enjoyed many a strip at Keevil supporting Hercs' 85-95.

Raf brize Norton Facebook page indicating an ~8am departure now?
Tomorrow morning the C-130 Hercules will conduct a final tour of the UK. Keep your eyes to the skies from 0800 as the aircraft depart from their home base of RAF Brize Norton
Unless it's an early departure to then form up and run in over Brize at 1000L

Maybe there are some local circuits/experience/pleasure flights before hand?
Also - the flying embargo NOTAM for Waddo is still in place 1415-1445.

As per the Brize post, aircraft will now likely depart at 08:00 local but no change to the route timings.

Just another typical PR post balls-up - original post corrected after 2.5 hours

The planned route / times remain unchanged from previously published
1000L departure it is then

Timing of departure will be made tomorrow, anytime between 8 and 10 although suspect the latter now

I hope it's the latter too, that'll give me time to drop my tent, pack away before going up on the hill to wait, hope and pray they make it to the Loop

If they do I'll be ready and waiting
