The jets will be based both at Hohn and Jagel.
F-16 and A-10 at Jagel, F-15’s at Hohn. Rumor about the USN Hornets and Growlers at Hohn.

But in about 2 weeks, most aircraft should have arrived, and the picture should be much clearer.
Absolutely

I don't know Schleswig that well but I remember from the Tiger meet a few years ago we were all parked on a large field near the main gate and close to the runway - not bad for photos except the grass by the runway obscured the wheels for take off shots

Be very nice if that field could be made available again although it could well have crops in it now!

A lot will also depend on spotters behavior. If people misbehave (garbage, parking chaos, etc), the fun could be over quickly

Is it wild speculation to assume anything will transit through the UK? Seems to be a lot of unsourced chatter I've noticed about different bases.

Motion sensors (from COP26) added to Prestwick airfield today, so probably safe to assume something more than just A10's heading our way soon.

A few EC-135 plotting around the Bückeburg area plus an Austrian S70 showing as (6M-BI)heading north past wunstorf - where is he going? Nordholz?

Hope there will be plenty of GAF A400M at Wunstorf

Beginning to look forward to the trip over now.

The Austrian is likely departing from Bremerhaven by ship to the US for upgrades.

Thanks

I have registered for the spotters day at Bückeburg on 15/6 although the details are a bit sketchy so will wait and see what happens. I really want to fit Nordholz in perhaps on the Wednesday but it all depends on how Schleswig - Hohn go on Monday/Tuesday

From the 31st of May the Defender movements will start with about 7 C-130 into Wunstorf. From the 3rd of June the fighters will start arriving (as it stands now).

Apologies.

Nothing specific but everyone seems to think Prestwick is the place, I live near Lakenheath and Mildenhall so not exactly music to my ears.

Prestwick makes sense to me but obviously it's only a bit further to northern Germany for a drag that is already airborne so why not just push on but perhaps they want to gather to guarantee an on time arrival in Germany

I probably shouldn't have mentioned it but often if you start the ball rolling someone comes back with more definitive info

I understand that there should be 2 C17s based there (source: bottom right of slide here https://twitter.com/scan_sky/status/164 ... uQ_xA&s=19

No doubt completely coincidental, but some new security infrastructure has appeared on parts of the airport's perimeter in the past few days.

Well I need two of the 7 CO F-16 at Schleswig ( one is AL?)

And 0 out 4 MA Eagles ( 85-0110 still marked as ZZ ) as Hohn if that is where they went

Could do better :P

Edit : need 1 out of 8 eagles so far : 86-0168/MA

I was kindly sent the following and it's all on scramble

Parking at Hohn is allowed by the local farmer near the crashgate Garlbek (east end near runway 26) after Dalibor Ankovic has spoken to the farmer.

The fee is 10€ per day per car (persons included) and 5€ per day per person without car.

Are there any updates re spotting at Schleswig ?

From the last tiger meet if my memory serves me right you could park in a large field not far from the approach that was also close to an entrance gate ( the main gate?) ?

I see Hohn is sorted thanks to the big man with the scissor lift pick up truck - thanks for organising that
