Several previous RIATs have seen B-2 GPMs on both full days...James Cutting wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 11:45 amThat was one day and done as a GPM. Would seem odd to send one every day for 2 days! Guess we'll see.![]()

I would be surprise if the B-52 that do the flying will land at Fairofrd. But I hope I am wrong.

Never stopped them in all the years in the past.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
As said, shame about the Turkish Stars, but if your gonna throw BUFFs and Fitters at us the it's a plus in my book.

Fantastic update. Pity about the Turkish Stars but given the circumstances fully understandable.
B52 and Al Fursan in the flying is brilliant. 2 I've never seen fly. Never seen an SU22 either so another brilliant addition.
Shaping up to be a great weekend.

Last year the flying example was going to be based Fairford so I'd assume it's the same case this year.

Saturday now sold out
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
I was wondering if it would be based at Fairford or fly in from Mildenhall as they do take some time to warm up. Quite a sight though, been over to Fairford many times for deployments of B52s and this week for the Bones. Now if they could get a B1 and B2 to do a formation flypast that would best just about anything (maybe add an F22 also!)Jameslw1993 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 6:39 pmLast year the flying example was going to be based Fairford so I'd assume it's the same case this year.

Gutted about the Turkish stars, I don't recall seeing them before but still so many other displays and amazing statics, still a few weeks of announcements too, can't wait.jasonT1981 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 4:45 pmFantastic update. Oh they do take a while to warm up, 2019 departures in FRIAT was fun! Trying to turf people out as the BUFF was sat engines running before taxiing, I think not!

Good update, shame about the Turkish display team. Maybe they can send some phantoms instead, chuck in some extra USAF stuff as mentioned & it’ll be a cracking show.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
Saw a Draken display at the Midlands air festival? I thought I read they were not allowed to display in the UK?
Would love to see a Viggen and Draken display at RIAT.
